Overview
The HP Digital Print & Finishing Supervisor is a front-line management role that reports directly to the HP Digital Print & Finishing Manager and requires a high level of detail and excellent communication skills. They are responsible for maintaining a high level of production across all the digital printing and finishing operations. They are responsible for meeting or exceeding standards relating to safety, quality, on time delivery, and productivity while engaging and motivating the workforce.
Shift Available: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am
Pay: Based on experience at time of offer.

What you'll do
- Supervises production personnel, ensuring optimal performance, training, and motivation.
- Matching overtime needs to capacity constraints with a downward pressure on OT to keep costs at a minimum.
- Responsible for performance management of the team including yearly reviews, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, etc.
- Work closely with the Digital Manager, Master Scheduler, and Production Coordinator in editing Production Schedule to meet commitment dates – Achieve on time delivery targets of greater than 95%.
- Minimize downtime of people and equipment by optimizing workflow and resource allocation.
- Cross-train free resources, when possible, to bolster contingency planning and eliminate 1 point failure.
- Drive quality process improvements and adherence – Achieve quality targets (CoPQ).
- Review and sign-off press, diecutting and inspection approvals when needed.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on issues that cause downtime and waste.
- Proactively participate and initiate continuous improvement strategies.
- Work closely with maintenance in following a PM schedule to reduce reactive maintenance.
- Monitor and approve clock records and PTO requests.
- Timely communication of production or quality issues with the appropriate manager to minimize production downtime.
- Adhere to all established safety practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Leadership abilities to motivate a team and earn respect and trust of assigned employees.
- Ability to prioritize jobs and be proactive.
- Must possess excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical skills.
- Intermediate computer skills – working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Experience & Education Requirements:
- 3+ years of digital print production experience.
- At least 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
